This is Sushi. Sushi lives at the pet store near my home. I am not sure if Sushi is male or female, I assume male. I have known Sushi for 11 years now. He loves attention and says "hello" to everyone in the store. If I am there for an hour he says "hello at least 35 times. Can you guess how many times I say hello back? Yup, 35. Who could ignore this sweet bird? This week I heard him for the first time in 11 years say "bye." I had no idea he had more words. I can't wait to see him again to hear what else he can say.

Sushi is a rare bird. The parrots I have met have mostly been green or blueish.
This one sure was a happpy and original meeting.

Grandma, that might be because he was mad. He really hated having is picture taken. He wanted my camera in the worst way.
