ABC Wednesday - K - Kicking

My husband had been taking the kids out to kick a soccer ball for a few weeks at the end of summer. I loved watching them out there. Anytime my husband wants me to fall in love with him all over again he just has to spend time with them doing something special. I wish I had a picture of her actually kicking the ball but this was the work up to the kick! Notice the foot.

Ruby Tuesday - The Red Door

Hit the bug to go to the home of Ruby Tuesday

This is the door to the crawl space under my in-laws house. I have always liked the textures of the old wood frame, and the crusty, peeling paint of the door and door handle. I must have taken 30 pictures of my kids in front of this door on this particular door. My kids kept asking where the door goes to and I kept saying under the house. It is a small door with tons of character that leads to a dirt floor, crawl space, but to my kids it holds a world only limited to your imagination.

Monochrome Monday

(Hit the button to be taken to the home of Monochrome Monday)

I'm staring out into the night
And trying to hide the pain
I'm going to the place where love
and feeling good don't ever cost a thing,
And the pain you feels a different kind of pain
I'm going home to the place where I belong

Amazing to think this was once someones home. Family walked through these halls and laughter rang through the yards but now strangers just pass through. Weddings are held here, concerts and tours given. We get to smell the flowers and take pictures among the property but it was once the home of a family. I love taking my kids here to walk and take pictures but I always find myself wondering about the family who called this place home.

ABC Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday-Daughter and Niece

Wordless Wednesday is the place to be on Wednesdays. Join us here.

Ruby Tuesday

I have so many better photos than this one, but I it goes well with the little bit of red theme this week. This was 1 year ago last week. I can't believe how small my little girl looks next to this cow statue.

Manic Monday - Formula - Way Outside the Box

Ok, I know this is way outside the box but I really had nothing for the theme formula. My mind was blank so here it goes.

I waited a long time to have kids and wanted in the worst way to nurse them. For more on why these pictures were taken in the first place, go here or here.

Oddly enough the theme at Manic Monday is formula. To play along or to see what other folks came up with follow me to Mo's.

Monochrome Monday

All of my dreams of a place that I can call home
Somewhere in the shade near the sound of a sweet singin' river
Somewhere in the sun where the mountains make love to the sky
Somewhere to build me a faith, a farm and a family
Somewhere to grow older, and somewhere a reason to try - John Denver

Weekend Snapshot

Tonight, my son and I headed out for a sunset walk. It was beautiful out. The sun was so strong as it started it's descent under the mountain line. It was 6:30 p.m. but in this picture it looks to be about noon.

Camera Critters - #1

Camera Critters

I took my daughter to a near by farm to see the animals and watch the farmers getting ready for their busy season. We always love going to the pig pens because there are always baby pigs. We love baby pigs. They are so cute and my daughter squeals as soon as she gets close and sees any bit of pink movement. This little pig was so cute. I wanted to take him home with me. But looking at the size of mom, I would definitely need a bigger house.

Sky Watch Friday

My daughter and I headed into town to feed the ducks while my son was in school. To read more about our day come here for more story and pictures.

A Boy And A Scooter

I love taking walks after dinner with my children. Most people are indoors and the block is quiet. My son takes his scooter and gets practice with his balance and hopefully is building up his core strength. I love his concentration when he is riding and enjoy the quiet of just being. If you were on a walk with us you would know that it was anything but quiet. The bugs, birds, dogs barking and my kids talking a mile a minute makes me need a Tylenol before we leave but it is one of my favorite parts of the day.
